By using the “P-Clip” with an optical fiber identifier, it is possible to detect in-fiber optical output levels 9 to 21 dB lower than the minimum standard detection level of the identifier with high precision and accuracy, to identify φ0.9mm silicone/nylon jacketed optical fibers and 2mm/3mm nylon jacketed optical fiber cords.
